Hailey Reese Veil Obituary Lincoln Nebraska Death: Hailey Reese Veil, 19, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on May 23, 2026, just two days before her 20th birthday. Her heartbreaking passing has left her family, friends, classmates, and the University of Nebraska community mourning the loss of a bright, creative, and deeply compassionate young woman whose life touched countless hearts.
Born on May 25, 2006, Hailey lived with authenticity, kindness, and joy. She had recently completed her second year at the University of Nebraska, where she pursued a degree in early childhood education with an emphasis in special education. Passionate about helping others, Hailey dreamed of making a lasting difference in the lives of children and families.
Hailey was a proud member of Delta Delta Delta, where she formed lifelong friendships and dedicated herself to philanthropy, especially fundraising efforts supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She was also an All Seasons Lifesaver with the Nebraska Community Blood Bank and proudly celebrated reaching her first gallon blood donation milestone.
Known for her vibrant personality, Hailey loved crocheting, painting, singing, boba tea runs, video games, and spending time with those she cherished most. She embraced life fearlessly and made everyone around her feel seen, welcomed, and valued. Her warmth, humor, and loving spirit created unforgettable memories for family and friends alike.
Hailey is survived by her parents, Nick and Shari Veil; her beloved brother, Carson Veil; grandparents Jeff and Lavon Veil and John and Rosalie Long; great-grandmother Christina Long; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who adored her deeply.
Funeral arrangements and celebration of life services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Roper & Sons South Lincoln Chapel.
Though Hailey Reese Veil’s life was far too short, her legacy of kindness, creativity, courage, and unconditional love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
